I'm now a Level 10 Jedi Knight. Yes, i went the route that a ton of folks took. I'll be playing all the classes probably, so figured I'd start out with one of the most common. So far I'm glad I did. Making my first light saber was Epic.
On the downside of the game, is really 2 things that irked me so far. The main one being because of its popularity. Server Queue's. Now, the server I'm on had over a 40 minute Queue last night, and while waiting in it, i got bored and started playing around with another program to work on streaming the stuff out. I bluescreened and lost my place in line, so when I got back, there was a 50 min queue. That was annoying. people are defending it with the ol' "That's how all MMO launches are". But this problem was caused by releasing more people than they had originally intended and not putting up enough servers. I thought part of the reason for the guild creation was to help understand how many people were going to be on the server. Not to mention, it's pre-release. What's going to happen when the doors open to all, and people stream on to these servers to join the guilds that were already placed there? I'm really worried, because a few nights of this and a lot of guilds and alliances will be fractured. I wanted to just go to a server with no Queue to start playing, but i didn't want to leave the guild behind.
Well.. that's about it. I'm hoping they actually have plans to rectify the situation and deal with the Queues, because the rest of the game is incredible. Albeit taxing on my computer system.
